Gatlinburg, TN Mountaintop Wedding for Henwood Studio

I rarely second shoot but when I get the chance to hang with one of my favorite photo pals in a different state celebrating the wedding of two super fly people, then you know it's bound to be epic.  Last August, I tagged along with Amanda Marie of Henwood Studio as a second shooter/warm body for a long car ride/watcher-outer for random bushes on an adventurous wedding in the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Amanda did the driving, but you should all know those bushes were attacking HER and they came out of NOWHERE.

That said, we made it safe and sound to Gatlinburg and even munched on my very favorite Mellow Mushroom pizza that we can't get up here in the usually frozen tundra of Michigan.

Waking up bright and early, we explored a bit before heading to the ceremony site- a beautiful chapel in the sky with a breathtaking view of the mountains.  It was a rainy day, so the sky shrouded the views in mystery and it was incredible to see.

Janelle and Dan were so chill and just so stinkin' happy to be married- it was a blessing to join Amanda in frolicking through the "roughs" of Gatlinburg to photograph the two of them.  I love working with Amanda as we see things so differently but all the same... it's always a blast.

Enjoy these looks into my adventure last summer with some really cool people.
