This is a very, very special wedding to me. This was my very first opportunity to actually be IN a wedding... and photograph it. Well, a good hefty chunk of it. Heidi is my best friend. Like, in the Grey's Anatomy way- she's my PERSON. And Chad is pretty darn swell, too. I'm happy to share my person with Chad (this was supposed to be part of my Maid of Honor speech, but I'm none to eloquent when emotional, so my actual speech was rather lacking, and slightly hysterical).
Chad and Heidi have weathered so many storms, but they have also encountered equally as many rainbows in life. In each other, they have found a true soulmate. Understanding each other, they have made me nearly physically ill on occasion with envy over the complete acceptance they have of one another. That's not to say Heidi isn't calling Chad out every once in awhile, likewise, Chad doesn't hesitate to tell Heidi when she needs to knock something off. It's pure bliss. Unadulterated divine matchmaking at its best.
So, fast forward to their wedding. Equality in their relationship branched into true equality in their wedding planning-- there are parts of Chad and parts of Heidi plastered throughout the details of their wedding. Unique "guestbook" puzzle pieces, a caramel apple bar (literally), amazing desserts, and partnering over the color scheme ended up creating a wedding that was equal parts awesome, elegant, and one-of-a-kind.
A huge thank you to Tracy Park of
Park Place Design for the gorgeous flowers, mason jars, burlap runners, and stunning garland for the ceremony. Her flowergirl wreaths were to die for, and the boutonnieres were perfect.
In these peeks, you'll catch a glimpse of yours truly- it's not an easy task to take on the role of MOH and the wedding photographer. So, I'll be the first to say, I owe a big shoutout to my girl,
Heather, for helping capture the ceremony and reception, and doing a bang up job co-shooting the bridal portraits. She rocked as my "second-ish" for the day.

We set up Heather and my regular second, Tracy, with cameras for the ceremony to catch what I couldn't... my jokes about hiding my camera under my dress and pulling it out during the ceremony to shoot a bit weren't well received... haha!

Love the shot from Heather of me getting down and dirty in my dress to work on bridal portraits. She also nailed the doorway shot. ♥
